Subs.com questions, answered
Is Subs.com free to join?
Subs' terms describe a 20% platform fee taken from fan payments and do not list a sign-up fee. Fees can change, so confirm on subs.com.
How much does Subs take from creators?
20%. Creators keep 80% of subscriptions, pay-per-view posts, tips and calls, excluding any VAT.
How much money can you make on Subs?
No one can promise that. Subs' terms say they make no guarantee that creators will earn any particular amount, or any money at all. Results depend on your audience and your effort.
Is Subs only for adult creators?
No. It is built for podcasters, athletes, musicians, influencers and adult creators, and hosts both safe-for-work and adult content.
Is there a Subs app?
Subs runs as a web app in your browser. Press coverage at launch said it operates as a web app rather than through the Apple and Google app stores.
Can I run ads to promote my Subs page?
Paid search advertising and keyword bidding using Subs' name or branding are prohibited without Subs' prior written approval. Check the current terms before you spend any money.
Does Subs have a referral or partner program?
Yes. Active creators can refer other creators and, under Subs' Referral Program Terms, are paid 5% of the referred creator's gross earnings for five years, plus 2.5% on creators they refer. Subs' terms warn that high earnings are not easily achieved from the program. Joining as a creator does not require you to refer anyone. See section 16 of the Terms of Service.
Can I use my own payment processor on Subs?
No. Subs' terms bar creators from using unauthorized third-party payment processors for subscriptions or other services sold through Subs.
